5 Days Big Five Safari
Day 1:Lake Nakuru National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel or airport by one of our safari representatives and after the briefing starts, you start your safari to Lake Nakuru.
The Park lies approximately 140km northwest of Nairobi in Nakuru County in the Rift valley part of Kenya. It is one of the beautiful lakes in Kenya surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grasslands. The Park is known for its wide ecological diversity with the flamingos, a variety of over 450 species of birds, white and black rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, and other wild animals. You get to enjoy bird watching, picnics, and game drives.
Upon arrival, you will check in at your accommodation. You will enjoy lunch in a tranquil environment and leave to explore the park later in the afternoon getting back when the sun sets down behind the beautiful African horizons.
Day 2:Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara
After breakfast you will head further south into the Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. You will then get ready for your afternoon game drive, which will take place from 16:00 to 1830. You will have a chance to explore the savanna in search of the “big five” (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant) in this wonderful game reserve. Other popular animals include zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and more. After the game drive, you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3:Full day Maasai Mara
On this day you enjoy a full day game drive in the Mara after breakfast. You will get a packed lunch and a picnic in the wild. Maasai Mara Game Reserve is renowned for being host to the Great Wildebeest Migration. Millions of wildebeests cross over the Mara River every year from The Serengeti in search of grazing pastures. As they make their way across the Mara River, some of them are eaten by the hungry crocodiles awaiting them on the river banks (from mid-June till the end of October). The Great Migration which is listed as one of the wonders of the world is an experience that you will live to remember. In addition to this, Maasai Mara is home to other animals like waterbucks, baboons, gazelles, monkeys, impalas, Masai giraffes among others, and over 500 bird species.
Day 4:Maasai Mara National Reserve
This day will be spent with options of either half-day with picnic breakfast back to the camp for lunch and later afternoon safari starting 16:00 hrs or an early morning and evening game drive to experience the activity of the wildlife at sunrise and sunset. The mid-day was spent leisurely at the hotel with options of a visit to Maasai cultural village for a glimpse of their rich culture. If you are craving a wild Adrenalin rush, an early morning balloon safari over the Mara plains is all you need at an extra cost.

Day 5:Maasai Mara – Nairobi
On your last day on safari, you will wake up early and leave the camp at 6:30 am for the early morning game drive and the sunrise experience if weather permits and you head back to the camp at 8:30 am. for breakfast and check out to Nairobi arriving mid-afternoon in the city and transferring to your hotel or airport.
