Day 1 & 2:Amboseli National Park
The Park is famous for its free-ranging elephants and the vast wildlife species such as lions, cheetahs, zebras, and the wildebeest. The savannah grassland gives the ecosystem enough life to support the wildlife. The park is popular with safari lovers for its spectacular view of the snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro. You embark on your evening game drive starting 16:00 to 18:30 retiring to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
The second day is spent with an early morning drive to observation hill which allows an overview of a good part of the park returning for breakfast at the hotel. Mid-day spent at leisure and a later afternoon game drive starting 16:00 till the sun sets down.
Day 3:Aberdares National Park
Aberdare National Park is situated in central Kenya located in the East African Rift valley and less than 100miles from Nairobi in Nyeri County. An early morning drive to Aberdare via Nairobi with lunch on the way, we get to the beautiful Aberdare National park with the topography ranges from high moorland, hills, and peaks to indigenous forests, ravines, streams, and waterfalls.
This afternoon will be spent leisurely at the hotel’s rooftop balcony sipping coffee or at the comfort of your room that has a view of natural water holes. The lodges overlook a watering hole and salt lick, attracting a variety of wildlife, and features viewing areas, including a ground-level bunker for the case at Ark. You will get to enjoy bird watching to over 250 species of birds and have a nocturnal animal viewing from the Ark or Treetops lodges.
Day 4 & 5:Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, we set off to Samburu national reserve, which is situated at the south-eastern corner of Samburu district in Samburu County. The reserve is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialists such as Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and Baisy Oryx. The reserve also has a wide variety of animals including Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, and wild dogs’ sightings.
On the second day, spend the full day in Samburu exploring the park with morning and later afternoon game drives as you experience the magical moment as the sun sets down behind the horizons with a beautiful silhouette against the dimming African skies. Retiring to your camp for the night.
Mid-day relax by the swimming pool during the hot days or optional activities such as a visit to the Samburu Village living adjacent to the reserve.
Day 6 :Lake Nakuru National Park
After spending 2 nights in Samburu, you set off to Lake Nakuru with a stop at Thomson’s Falls, a 74 meters scenic waterfall on the Ewaso Ng’iro river. The ecosystem comprises the alluring Saline Lake, surrounded by the Savannah grasslands and acacia forest. The wide ecological diversity adds to the stunning view with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions. Different species of mammals including the black and white rhinos, buffaloes, and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species, adds to the exciting fauna at the park. The beautiful lake offers a variety of bird watching, picnics, and amazing game drives. It is also a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but flamingos of course have always been the main attraction.
You will check in at your hotel and start an afternoon game drive in the afternoon.
Day 7,8,9 :Maasai Mara National Reserve
Our last days of the trip will happen at the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Being one of the most popular and well-known game reserves in Kenya-Africa at large, Maasai Mara offers a wide range of activities to do. The first day, you arrive in time for lunch and check in to your accommodation, and after relaxing you have an evening game drive from 16:00 to 18:30 where you get to see the Big Five (Elephants, buffalos, rhinos, and leopards) and other species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles and over 400 species of birds. The reserve is also known for its annual wildebeest migration in the month of mid-June till October.
On the second day, you will have a full game drive from 07:30 am, and look for a spot later where you will have a picnic lunch. You can also visit the Mara River while on a game drive and come back at 16:00 to your accommodation.
On the third day, you will have an early morning game drive from 06:30 to 09:30 and come back for breakfast. After breakfast, you get to enjoy the serenity of the hotel, go swimming or relax in your room. In the evening you can choose to go for another game drive or visit the nearby Maasai villages where you experience the colorful Maasai culture and traditions.
Day 10:Nairobi
Early morning after breakfast to Nairobi and you will have transfers back to the hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
